Return to Grand Canyon

One of the outstanding highlights of my year was a solo trek into Grand Canyon. The experience has been life changing. This month I began 'training' for my next visit. This time I will be joined by my brother, Dr. Leonard Matheson, his son Jon and our nephew Kyle Matheson.
Kyle is a 15 year old young man who has done some camping, but never anything of the magnitude of a walk into the Canyon in January! I am hoping this will be a significant and memorable step in his life journey.
With your indulgence, I will record our preparation for the trek as it draws near.
We plan to rendez-vous in Prescott, Arizona on January 20th. Our actual hike starts before dawn on January 22nd.
